Bastille Day in Los Angeles: A vibrant celebration of French culture, cuisine, music, and revolutionary spirit!
Bastille Day in Los Angeles is a vibrant celebration of French culture, cuisine, music, and
revolutionary spirit. While Bastille Day (July 14th) marks the
storming of the Bastille prison in 1789 and the start of the French Revolution,
in L.A., it's embraced as a joyful, cosmopolitan tribute
to France—with a dash of Hollywood flair.
What to Expect: Bastille Day Events in Los
Angeles
Bastille Day in Los Angeles offers a lively
mix of French-inspired celebrations. Expect elegant soirées and themed dinners
at venues like La Bohème or Figaro Bistrot, featuring French cabaret, DJs,
prix-fixe menus, and wine tastings—with red, white, and blue attire encouraged.
Some years include outdoor festivals with live music, pétanque games, food
vendors, and family-friendly fun, like those once held at Kenneth Hahn Park or
Beverly Hills.
